Eco Eats

Our cooking program began simply, around a campfire, supported by Derbyshire County Council Public Health funding. We believe in food that nourishes both body and community.

We share how to create wholesome meals from basic ingredients without stretching your budget. Each session blends practical cooking skills with the natural joy of gathering around a fire.

Together we prepare, cook and share hot, healthy meals in the open air, connecting with each other and the environment.

We use only affordable, seasonal ingredients you can find locally, and you’ll take home recipes to try in your own space. Our “one pot wonders” save energy whether cooked over flames or in your slow cooker at home.

Our circle welcomes everyone—families and individuals alike. Children under 18 need an adult companion.

Though our initial funding has ended, the campfire still burns bright. We’re ready to bring our cooking circle to your community, friends, or interest group. The simple act of cooking and eating together strengthens our connections to each other and the earth.

Contact us touch if you’d like us to light the fire for your gathering.
